Do you have fine hair and dream of a fuller, denser head?
Rest assured, it's perfectly possible! Even if our hair type is partly determined by our DNA, there are many solutions to strengthen the hair fiber, add volume and improve the hold of your styles. Here are my tips for taming fine hair and restoring its vitality.
1. Adopt a suitable routine
Fine hair is naturally more fragile, with a tendency to break and lack volume. To prevent it from becoming weighed down and remaining airy, I recommend opting for a customized hair routine:
- Use a light, tailored shampoo: our natural, neutral shampoo, combined with the benefits of the fine hair booster, gently cleanses while adding body and lightness. Thanks to its SLS/paraben/silicone-free composition enriched with Vegetal Keratin, it will naturally strengthen the fiber without weighing it down. As for the 3 essential and plant oils (Orange Blossom, Sage and Grape Seed), they have been specially chosen for their stimulating, moisturizing properties and light textures.
-
Wash your hair in moderation: choose 2 to 3 washes a week to avoid stimulating sebum production, which is often favored for people with fine hair and can be the cause of that lack of volume at the roots.
- Moisturize without weighing down: natural leave-in care products are ideal for moisturizing fine hair, as their formulation directly penetrates the hair fiber without weighing it down.
- Apply a small amount to lengths and ends every day to protect hair without leaving it greasy, and to tame static electricity, fine hair's worst enemy.
2. Dry your hair upside down
The secret to beautiful volume starts with the blow-dry! To give my roots a natural boost, here's my technique:
1️⃣ I blow-dry my hair upside down, loosening the roots to create volume. It's important to choose the right blow-dryer. That's why we decided to design an ultra-light, digital, ionic hair dryer. Its light weight makes it easy to use, and its revolutionary ionic technology ensures fast drying while reducing frizz.
2️⃣ I regulate the temperature of my blow-dryer: I start with a medium temperature to avoid weakening the hair fiber, and I always finish with a blast of cold air to set the movement and prolong the hold of the volume.
3️⃣ I detangle my hair gently with the flexible brush, which doesn't pull my hair out and leaves it silky and soft to the touch.
4️⃣ For long-lasting hold, I use a natural hairspray, such as our Laque Eco Spray, which holds hair without over-styling thanks to its alcohol- and gas-free formulation.
3. Incorporate fortifying skin care into your routine
For healthy hair, it's essential to alternate your routine with fortifying care products, and this applies to all hair types.
Our Fortifying Duo with essential and plant oils of Eucalyptus, Cinnamon and Mint, which stimulates the scalp and strengthens the hair fiber from the roots, is a must-have during the change of season, when hair loss is more intense.
Fortifying Shampoo stimulates the scalp and densifies hair. As for the Fortifying Lotion, it can be used daily on dry or damp hair at the roots to effectively stop hair loss. You'll see the difference and your hair will thank you 😌
4. Eat a nutrient-rich diet
The condition of our hair often reflects a healthy or unhealthy diet.
To give it strength and vitality, I recommend you focus on:
🥩 Proteins (meat, fish, eggs) to strengthen hair fiber.
🦪 Zinc (seafood, cheeses, wholemeal bread) for added vitality.
🥚 Vitamins B6 and B12, which promote follicle growth and renewal.
In short: with the right routine, a good blow-dry, targeted care and a balanced diet, you can transform your fine hair, giving it all the density and vitality it deserves.
With love,
Patricia ❤️
